Where you at in your finances?

I am not where I want to be but I am not where I was. I have been humbled in this area because God has taken me from thousands of dollars in one month to none. However, God has provided every step of the way.

This really gave me a different view on money and the reason why I work.

In 2019 God told me I would no longer be doing hair the way I used to. I didn't know what that meant in full and if I am being completely honest, I am still learning what he meant by that. As clients starts to fall of and I am not available to service anyone, I noticed that he was for real. All I could do was look up and say ok so you were serious but God these bills are very real, how will they get paid? The next thing I know I said "yes Lord, I trust you!

From that day forward to the present he has been making sure that every need is meet! But how? I was faithful no matter what my so-called need was and paid my tithe and offering into my storehouse. Even though at sometimes it didn't make any scene to me. I thought it a privilege to give and not an obligation which made it so much easier to do.

I remember one day I had to pay my light bill and didn't have the funds to make available for them to pull out. Again, I look up. Lord, I know you can do all things, I know you are my provider, I know you said you will take care of my needs according to your will. God, I just can't see how we are going to do this one here; I have to submit this extension or owe the whole thing, or they will turn off my lights. I then laid in my pillow as I continued to cry out to him and then I heard hit send anyway! What? Hit send? How? There is zero dollars in the account! But, ok. If you say hit send let thy will be done. I hit send blindly and went about my day. Upon my return home all I could do was cry out thank you Lord as I had just received a check in the mail for the amount and then some to cover the bill.

I say all this to say, I no longer worked because I needed to make the money, I did so to give God my 10% of my talents. I say this to say, trust God with your money and watch him carry you. Imagine if he gave you the 10% and kept the 90 like he did me, when he allowed me to work again just a little. I say this to say, ask him what to do with the 90% that he allows you to keep and do what he says even if it seems a little crazy. To this day he has provided and increased the money I can encounter. He showed me how to budget to fit my needs and make it work. Because of this new way of life for me I was able to go home one year almost every month and visit with round trip flights easily among other things.
